Checking out some of the findings from the Snowmass Village Excavation site at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. Today is the last day for public viewing before they begin work to preserve them. The excavation site is shut down for the winter, but they've already found 8-10 Mastodons, 4 Colombian Mammoths, 1 Jefferson Ground Sloth, 2 deer and more. All are between 40,000-130,000 years old. Quite a cool view into the Ice Age at elevation.
I really should have been an archaeologist.
